The lush green meadows, crystal-clear mountain lakes, and high mountain peaks of Toggenburg have been attracting a large number of visitors for generations. Some have been coming to this beautiful valley for years, while others are experiencing it for the first time.

Born in Aargau with roots in Appenzell, I have felt a very close connection to Toggenburg and the Appenzell Alps since I was a child. Even today, in my free time, I maintain the tradition of visiting the alp several times a year to assist friends with their management. The traditional customs fascinate me just as much as our local folk music. Despite my love for my homeland, after completing my apprenticeship as a butcher and cook, I was drawn out into the wide world.

In my youth, I worked in the hotel and catering industry in Arosa and Lucerne during numerous winter and summer seasons. Following my education at hotel management school in Zurich, I served as a chef de cuisine for Mövenpick hotels in Egypt, Spain, and the Dominican Republic. Before becoming a manager of various Mövenpick hotels in Zurich and Lucerne, I also fed the crew of a seagoing cargo ship from the galley.
