Roland Hofstetter suggests visiting the "Älpli Laui," which he considers one of the most beautiful spots in Switzerland, especially coming from a well-traveled hotel manager. He also recommends taking a trip to the Wolzenalp and relieving stress on the barefoot path. Another exciting option is climbing up to the Chäserrugg and hiking to the Rossboden.

A visit to Schwägalp, located at the foot of the majestic Säntis, is always rewarding. From there, you can easily access the Säntis cable car, which operates every 30 minutes, taking you to the 2,502-meter peak of the highest mountain in the Alpstein range. Furthermore, the Thurweg, a beautiful natural path along the Thur river, is located directly next to the Hotel Restaurant Sternen. On this picturesque route, you can choose to walk upstream to Wildhaus or downstream towards Ebnat-Kappel, and even continue further to Lichtensteig.
